My Process

Every portrait begins long before I touch the charcoal. I take time to really study your pet — their expression, the softness in their eyes, and the little traits that show their personality in a single photograph.

My focus is to capture more than a likeness. I want to bring through the calmness, the character, the curiosity, or whatever it is that makes them uniquely yours. Working slowly in charcoal, I build gentle layers and depth so the portrait feels full of presence and emotion.

Each piece also comes with a small handwritten note on the back — a personal reflection about your pet and what stood out to me as I drew them. It’s a simple, meaningful touch that makes every portrait feel individual and deeply cared for.

  • I package everything with care to keep your portrait safe

What I need from you

I’m opening a small number of spaces each month so every portrait gets the time and care it deserves.

If you’d like one, bookings are made via commission deposit product.

The deposit products will show as 'sold out' when my diary is full. Please fill in a contact form to receive more information on my next available slots.

Photo tips & tricks

  • Natural daylight always makes your pet look their best
  • Get down to their eye level for a clearer, more expressive photo
  • Try taking a few shots while they’re calm or focused
  • Avoid zooming in — step closer instead
  • Sharper photos = more detail in your portrait
  • If your pet moves a lot, take a burst of photos and choose the clearest one
  • Send a few options if you’re unsure — I’ll pick the best reference
