Loulou Lemon Studio is a small, independent art studio specialising in realism pet portraits and fine art, created by artist Lou Peel.

Every piece is drawn or painted by hand, with a strong focus on character, depth, and detail. The work is intentionally slow and considered — created as lasting keepsakes rather than decorative trends.

Alongside commissioned pet portraits, the studio produces original fine artwork and limited edition prints. Each piece is designed or drawn in-house, with close attention to form, texture, and expression.

Loulou Lemon Studio is rooted in observation and craft. The aim is simple: to create artwork that honours its subject, holds meaning, and stands the test of time.

The name Loulou Lemon comes from a long-standing nickname. I was often called “Lemon Peel,” which eventually became Loulou Lemon — a small, personal detail that felt right for a studio rooted in care, familiarity, and character.
